If you are considering an overseas degree in Medicine, the University of Adelaide should high on your list when considering your study destination.
When applying to an Australian university for direct entry onto a degree course in Medicine you will need to first take a test such as the Personal Qualities Assessment (PQA) which means flying to Singapore or Hong Kong and passing an interview with an admissions officer from the University which will also probably involve another flight to Hong Kong or Singapore. You will also need to score 7.0 on the IELTS test.
Therefore, the best option is to join the University of Adelaide Foundation course in Health Sciences.
On the course you will study the subjects required for Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery – Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics or Biology. Students usually take five subjects in all.
In addition you will receive special classes in preparation for the PQA test that you can take in Adelaide and also interview techneques.
The course is 40 weeks, taught over 2 semesters. The next intake is February 2018
The Bachelors in Medicine and the Bachelors of Surgery will take you five years to complete.
You will need to have graduated from a high school in Taiwan and have and IELTS score of 5.5.
